A.J. Foyt and Felipe Giaffone Visit with Sponsor ABC Supply

A.J. Foyt and his driver Felipe Giaffone made a couple of appearances on behalf of sponsor ABC Supply last month.

The first appearance took place at the International Roofing Expo in Las Vegas. There in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, ABC Supply had set up their floor exhibit using the ABC Supply show car and a series of racing graphics which drew interest from the contractors visiting the show.

Foyt and Giaffone signed autographs on the opening day of the four day roofing extravaganza.

"We enjoyed our time in Vegas," said Foyt afterwards. "It's great to see ABC use racing to help promote their business. That makes it better for us too because they're taking the program beyond the race track. Any team owner would be happy to have a sponsor as active as ABC is."

Later in the month, Foyt and Giaffone traveled to Chicago to attend the annual manager's meeting at the O'Hare Hyatt-Regency where Giaffone was formally introduced as the new driver of the No. 14 ABC Supply Dallara/Honda.

With over 300 managers and 450 employees from the Company's National Support Center attending, the event provided a good opportunity for driver and owner to meet the managers and learn more about the business of their sponsor, ABC Supply Co., inc.

"I knew ABC was a very successful company, but seeing it first-hand was impressive," said Foyt. "With the programs that they have for their employees, it's understandable why they're so successful. They have a strong management team and yet ABC is a real down-to-earth company. They really care about their employees and in return, the employees seem to be really loyal."

The evening before the general meeting, Foyt and Giaffone were guests at the President's Awards Dinner where the top performers in each region were honored.

ABC Supply enters its second season as the sponsor of AJ Foyt Racing No. 14 Indy car. The IRL IndyCar Series season kicks off at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday, March 26th.
