IRP Race Report:

"We just had a tough night at IRP. We were able to stay on the lead lap for the first half of the race, but we did get lapped eventually. Then I tangled with another driver in turns 1 and 2. I went high to give him room but he slid up and tagged me and I spun. I was able to keep going but I flat-spotted the tires and had to pit to change them. We changed all four tires and NASCAR thought only two were real bad so they penalized us two laps. They have a rule that you can only change two tires at a time under yellow. It was a tough night all the way around."

Notes & Quotes: NASCAR Busch Series Kroger 200

On Indianapolis Raceway Park: "I think we'll do pretty well here. We were able to test our Harrah's Chevrolet and that was helpful. It's a track I've been on before - I ran at IRP last year in the ASA Series." [Foyt qualified third last year and was running in the top-10 when he and another car tangled, putting him out of the race.] This is just a one-day deal, we practice, qualify and race all on Saturday. It's the first time for us as a team doing that in the Busch Series. In fact, we had a meeting about it with our guys this week. We told them it was important to be well-rested because it is going to be a long day. Once we qualify, they will impound the cars so we'll basically be qualifying with our race set-up. I think that will be beneficial for us because with me being a rookie, we're usually in race trim all weekend. Normally, in the first practice when everyone else is trying qualifying set-ups, I'm just trying to learn the track. We might throw a qualifying set-up on at the end of the session if we have time. But here, I think everyone will be in race trim for qualifying because of the abbreviated program."

On Pike's Peak International Raceway: "That was a tough day. We had a good qualifying run but we were just too loose for the race. You can hang on for a lap or two but you can't run a whole race with the car as loose as it was. We just drifted back and I was just hoping that we could finish. But the engine started acting up around lap 90, and as it turned out, we broke a valve spring and that was it." Foyt qualified 10th for his best start of the season but finished 34th

Points standing: Foyt is 22nd in the driver's points; he has earned $273,667.
