"Nazareth is an interesting track. It drives like a road course and I really enjoyed racing there. We weren't as competitive as we'd like to be. I started 26th. I had some close calls. Kenny Wallace got tagged coming into the dogleg and he spun out right in front of me. He hit the wall and stayed up on the wall. I was able to stay low on the track and miss him. On one of the restarts, Kelly Denton and David Donohue got caught up in an accident and I had to go on the grass to miss them. I finished 28th again. "

On Nazareth Speedway: "I've never seen the track but the drivers I've spoken to say it's more like a road course than an oval. I've only run about 10 road courses in my life. My dad gave me some advice on how to run it. He ran it in a stock car when it was dirt back in the 60's and most recently in the Indy cars when they paved it."

Note: A.J. Foyt won a USAC stock car race at Nazareth in 1969. He won the pole and the race on the  one and one-eighth-mile dirt track. His best finish in the Indy car was seventh in 1987.

At New Hampshire International Speedway last week: "That race was probably the worst race I've had this season. We struggled the whole weekend. We went with a standard snout car and had trouble dialing it in and had trouble right from the start, it's a tricky track. The we hit the wall in Happy Hour so we had to go to the back-up car which was a drop-snout car. We got about 15 minutes of practice in it. So it wasn't very good in the race. I just tried to stay out of trouble."

Foyt will be joining in the pre-race festivities for the Carquest Auto Parts 300 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. He is scheduled to take part in the Harris Teeter's Race Fest Monday night, the Tuesday golf tournament to benefit the Busch Series Ladies Association and the Parade in downtown Charlotte that evening.

Foyt is 25th in the NASCAR Busch Series standings.
