    Anthony Foyt

  • Champion 2002 IRL Infiniti Pro Series

  • Champion 2001 southwest region, SCCA Formula Continental Series

  • Youngest driver in IRL IndyCar Series history at the 2003 season opener at Homestead-Miami


2006
  • Signed with Ray Evernham Motorsports’ Driver Development Program to compete in NASCAR Busch Series. Drove the Akins Motorsports Dodge but was released in April. In September he returned to the IndyCar Series. He subbed for injured Dario Franchitti of Andretti Green Racing.
 
2005
  • In third season of the IRL IndyCar Series, he posted two top-10 finishes and finished 20th in the standings. Jeff Bucknum subbed for him at two road courses Infineon and Watkins Glen so Foyt didn't earn points for those two events. He debuted in the NASCAR Busch Series driving for Akins Motorsports in the fin al four events. His best performance came at Miami where he qualified 11th and finished 24th.

2004
  • Competed in second season of the IRL IndyCar Series.Posted career best start of 6th at Chicagoland (Joliet) Speedway. His best finish was 10th at Texas Motor Speedway

2003
  • Competed in first Indy 500, starting 23rd and finishing 18th
  • Competed in first full season in IRL IndyCar Series with best start of 14th at Texas and best finish of 11th at Nazareth (Pa.) Speedway. Placed 21st in the standings.

 

2002
  • Champion IRL Infiniti Pro Series; scored four wins in seven; only driver to win multiple races in Infiniti Pro Series
  • Four IRL Infiniti Pro Series poles; only driver to win multiple poles; won from the pole at Kansas, Kentucky and Texas
  • Top 10 starts and finishes in all seven races
    Series leader in races led (five), and laps led (212)
  • Indy Racing League rookie test Oct. 31 at Texas; announced he would compete for A.J. Foyt Racing in the IRL IndyCar Series in 2003
  • First-team honors in the At Large category on the All-America Auto Racing Team, named by the American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association

  • Fourth in the light kart class at the 17th Annual O'Reilly Tulsa Shootout
    USAC Silver Crown Series debut at Springfield, Ill.; qualified 19th out of 60, and finished 28th in Hoosier Hundred at Indiana State Fairgrounds
