2006 |
- Signed with Ray Evernham Motorsports’ Driver Development
Program to compete in NASCAR Busch Series. Drove the Akins
Motorsports Dodge but was released in April. In September he
returned to the IndyCar Series. He subbed for injured Dario
Franchitti of Andretti Green Racing.

2005 |
- In third season of the IRL IndyCar Series, he posted two
top-10 finishes and finished 20th in the standings. Jeff Bucknum
subbed for him at two road courses Infineon and Watkins Glen so
Foyt didn't earn points for those two events. He debuted in the
NASCAR Busch Series driving for Akins Motorsports in the fin al
four events. His best performance came at Miami where he
qualified 11th and finished 24th.
