AJ Foyt Racing Has Joined Facebook!


WALLER, TX (Feb. 11, 2010)—Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? A.J. Foyt Racing, born in 1965, has joined Facebook at the ripe old age of 45!


Facebook friends need only type in aj foyt racing in the Facebook Search window and the AJ Foyt Racing Facebook page will pop up. Once there, friends will find several albums of photos of the ABC Supply team and their drivers, including current driver Vitor Meira, as well as a few of A.J. too. To access the page, fans do need to register with Facebook first if they aren’t part of the 400-million plus social network.


What does A.J. Foyt think of his team’s foray into social media? “I think it’s good,” he said after looking at the AJ Foyt Racing page on his son Larry’s computer. Foyt added, “If it helps us to get more sponsorship, I think it’s great! I will have to get Larry to help me pull it up on my computer though.”

Once the season gets underway, young Foyt will be tweeting from the track to keep fans apprised of what is going on with the race team leading up to race day. The AJ Foyt Racing twitter account will be active by then as well.


Vitor Meira and the ABC Supply Racing team are busy preparing for the upcoming IndyCar Series Open Test at Barber Motorsports Park February 24-25. The Series kicks off their 2010 season with the inaugural São Paulo Indy 300 in Brazil March 14th.
