Nickname:
“G” (my middle name is Glenn)
Job: Team Spotter. I don’t work on the car, my job is to
communicate with the driver while he is on the track. During
race and practice I tell him what’s going on around him-- if
somebody's coming up on him--if there's an accident and so
forth. During the race, I also communicate with A.J. in the
pits.
How crucial is your job? They always say the spotters
don’t drive the car, the driver drives the car. But we convey
pretty crucial information. At Indy we use two spotters, and I’m
down in Turn 3. At other tracks I'm the only spotter.
How long have you worked with the team? 6 years
What is your favorite thing about working here?
I love racing but what keeps me coming back is the ability to
work with AJ. Obviously I also enjoy working with all the team
members.
When did you decide you wanted to race?
I never seriously wanted to drive but I always wanted to be part
of the Indianapolis 500 and luckily I have been able live that
dream.
What do you drive? Hummer H2
Do you fix it? The dealer does the servicing.
Perfect Day: A perfect day is to be on the team that wins
the Indy 500.
