With the Covid-19 virus resulting in the shut down of all sporting events, INDYCAR has turned to iRacing to engage the NTT INDYCAR SERIES fans. iRacing currently has more than 100,000 active subscribers – but many of us in the real-life paddock and grandstands are new to eSports. While this shift to virtual racing provides a temporary and entertaining alternative to the action on track, there are elements of cyber racing that differ from the reality of actual racing. We’ve created this infographic to help our newest iRacing fans get up to speed. Today's INDYCAR iRace, the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama presented by AmFirst, will be broadcast on NBCSN starting at 2:30 p.m. ET. To follow the Foyt team cars of Tony Kanaan (No. 14 ABC Supply Chevrolet), Sebastien Bourdais (No. 4 Tresiba Chevrolet) and Dalton Kellett (No. 41 K-Line Insulators USA Chevrolet), visit the AJ Foyt Racing Facebook page where their points of view will be live-streamed.
