AJ FOYT RACING, HOMES FOR OUR TROOPS AND WHITE HOUSE HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION LAUNCH COMMEMORATIVE CAMPAIGN FOR FREEDOM 250 GRAND PRIX

INDIANAPOLIS (August 12, 2026) — AJ Foyt Racing is proud to announce a unique marketing partnership with Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) and the White House Historical Association (WHHA) surrounding the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C., Aug. 22-23. The campaign will bring Americans closer to the action and the history of racing in the president's neighborhood through a new video podcast episode, free programming, and exclusive merchandise timed to this milestone race, which will bring the NTT INDYCAR Series to the streets of Washington, D.C., for a two-day street circuit event celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.

celebrating America’s history. The collaboration grew from a conversation between Stewart McLaurin, president of the White House Historical Association and Nicole Sexton, a WHHA Board member and daughter of the late Marlyne Sexton. Marlyne Sexton was a longtime sponsor of AJ Foyt Racing for more than 10 years and a founding member of the Association’s National Council on White House History. AJ Foyt Racing President Larry Foyt, son of motorsports icon A.J. Foyt, enthusiastically embraced the concept, and the three organizations worked together to develop a multifaceted partnership around the Freedom 250 Grand Prix.

“As the nonprofit, nonpartisan steward of White House history, we are honored to celebrate with Homes For Our Troops and AJ Foyt Racing the historic return of racing to the president’s neighborhood—a legacy that stretches back more than two centuries to our Founding Fathers, when horse racing was a prominent pastime in and around the nation’s capital,” said Stewart McLaurin, president of the Association. “This collaboration reflects our ongoing mission to innovatively share White House history with all Americans, and we are proud to commemorate the Semiquincentennial in doing so.”

In May, Stewart McLaurin (far right) came to Indianapolis to interview Larry Foyt and Santino Ferrucci for the podcast The White House 1600 Sessions which will be published Aug. 13.

The partnership will include a special episode of The White House 1600 Sessions podcast, publishing on Aug. 13, featuring host Stewart McLaurin, AJ Foyt Racing driver Santino Ferrucci and Larry Foyt. The No. 14 Homes For Our Troops Chevrolet will also carry the White House Historical Association logo during the Freedom 250 Grand Prix weekend.

"It warms my heart to have this opportunity to work with the White House Historical Association for this awesome event, as I know how near and dear to Marlyne Sexton their work is," revealed Foyt. "This partnership aligns wonderfully with our program for Homes For Our Troops and Hendricks Commercial Properties, and our American celebration of 250 years. Personally, I’m excited to bring my children to the race and experience The People's House with them. It’s going to be an amazing field trip for the Foyt Family."

As part of the partnership, Ferrucci will appear at The People’s House: A White House Experience, the White House Historical Association’s immersive educational experience, for an autograph session in its to-scale Oval Office replica on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. ET. The event is free and open to the public, with timed passes available on the museum experience’s website, thepeopleshouse.org.

In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to take photographs with a life-size die-cut of Ferrucci’s No. 14 Indy car. The display will be installed on Monday, Aug. 17, and remain on display throughout the week.

The 'die-cut' No. 14 Indy car will be installed at The People's House on Monday as Washington prepares for the inaugural Freedom 250 Grand Prix. Santino Ferrucci will be signing autographs there on Thursday, August 20 from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.

The People’s House: A White House Experience will also feature AJ Foyt Racing and WHHA-themed merchandise at its White House History Shop. Proceeds will directly benefit Homes For Our Troops, which builds specially adapted, mortgage-free homes for severely wounded post-9/11 veterans and the nonprofit, nonpartisan mission of the White House Historical Association, founded by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy in 1961, which works to preserve and share White House history.

The People’s House: A White House Experience is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. Visitors are encouraged to reserve free timed passes in advance.

Freedom 250 Grand Prix’s 1.7-mile circuit is located in the heart of the nation’s capital. practice and qualifying will take place Saturday, Aug. 22. The 250-mile, 147-lap race will take place Sunday, Aug. 23, preceded by a special 90-minute pre-race show on FOX beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET. The green flag is scheduled to drop shortly after 1 p.m. ET.

About Homes For Our Troops

Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a publicly funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives.

Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, blindness, severe burns, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives.

Since its inception in 2004, nearly 90 cents out of every dollar spent has gone directly to our program services for Veterans. HFOT builds these homes where the Veteran chooses to live, and continues its relationship with the Veterans after home delivery to assist them with rebuilding their lives.
